2021 Building Futures Awards Event Postponed
CONWAY, SC – January 25, 2021 – A Father’s Place is moving its 3rd Annual Building Futures Awards Banquet & FUNdraiser from Winter to Fall. The banquet will now be held on October 7, 2021, at the Barefoot Conference Center in North Myrtle Beach.
“With guidance from DHEC and the medical community, it was clear the most prudent action was to postpone,” said Lyn Rumage, AFP’s Regional Director of Development. “An autumn event should allow us to honor and celebrate this year’s incredible slate of recipients with everyone they love in attendance. We’re really excited, too, because our venue has glorious outdoor spaces. It was a bit too cold to utilize them in February, but they should be perfect for October. Perfect for a few more surprises and special touches to add to the fun.”
While honorees and sponsors alike were disappointed, they all understood and supported the decision. “Everyone said they applauded the date change and is looking forward to a fabulous fall night,” Rumage said.
